Standard 1 for Wien’s class having spelling contest today. Yeah, contest not test.

Spelling also got contests now…*roll eyes*….

The school given total 10 units, one unit contain 10 wordings. So there are total 100 wordings for them to memorize/learn the new wording. Some wording ever tested in their weekly spelling test. I think out of 100 wording, she knew about 30-40 wording only. Others I have to teach her to memorize whenever she is done with her daily homework.

I am fine with the spelling contest; at least she can learn more new words indirectly. However I am short of time teaching her all the 100 words cos we did not learn it every day. If not mistaken, the teacher told them about the contest during end March. When I come to know about this, I try to test her when she is free to learn and absorb new wording. I started unit by unit, 5 wording per day. of course, sometimes I tend to forget to do it. *busy mah*

On and off I will test those wording that she learn previous days. She will forget…never mind, ask her to memorize again. Hey, some wording very long. Can understand a kid’s absorbent level too. So just try my best lar…..

When the contest date getting nearer, can sense that Wien getting kan-cheong too. last night she become more nervous, burst into cry some more. She cry becos we did not manage to learn all the 100 words. She cry becos she still forgetting many words….she cry becos she no confidence to do the contest!!!

Wei wei….why you cry till so pity? Mummy never expect you bring back No: 1 prize or full mark wor! Mummy know your limitation, also mummy don’t think other kids can score full mark too. 100 words to be memorize in one month time. Who can do it? Unless she/he is genius kid lar!

Don’t cry baby, just try your best!
