She cries in class

Yeah, Wien cries in her class. Actual date I am not sure coz I just heard this news from my MIL lately.
Sometimes I will feel a bit sad if Wien did not share with me everything that happens around her. I wish myself is the first person to know if anything happen to her, either happy or sad moment. But I am not. My MIL is the first person to know since she spends more hours with them now. If my MIL remembers, then she will rely the messages to me. Sometimes she tends to forget, you know lar, old folks memory not so good sometimes. I think I still miss out some of Wien’s juicy moment while she in class. Situation might change if one day I become SAHM. Am I right?
Ok, let me jot down why she cries in her class.
She cannot find the book that require by her class teacher. She feels nervous and starts crying. She told us that her teacher did not come and ask her why. I guess she is sobbing quietly and the teacher did not notice her. End up she has to share book with her neighbor.
Wien also ever beat by her teacher. The reason is she keeps talking in class, the teacher already warns her few times, but she still talks non-stop. Punishment is beat her hand palm 5 times. She said she no cry but only sobbing quietly. I asked her will she repeat again, she shake her head. Her teacher did tell her to inform us (the parent) why she beat her coz she doesn’t want us to misunderstand her intention. Again, she did not tell me or papa but only tell my MIL. Haiz….Let’s hope she will obey instruction next time.
I remember she ever told me that she forgets to bring crayon to class, so her teacher punishes her (and other classmates) standing in class. Being a soft heartened mom, I feel a bit heart pain when I hear that. But after that she remembers well and always checks her school bag before bag. Then I feel relief coz the small punishment does work.
Now my question is: What is your reaction when your kids being punish or beat by the teacher?
You can always talk to the teacher to find out what happen in school. I always do that because when my children tells me story, it will always be a different version.
as a parent, of coz we dont like other ppl to beat or cane our children, but as a teacher, there must be a valid reason of why they punish our children. i think ur teacher is gd by telling u why she beat ur girl, but 5 times wor, need meh? and then teachersmust know the suitable way to teach children. some kids just dont like the hard approach, or vice versa. and then ur girl didnt wanna tell mayb because she knew she was wrong or naughty in the class, so she didnt dare to tell u lor.. dont worry, children will go back to their parents esp moms, at the end of the day. cheers…
it surely breaks my heart if qiqi kena beat in class. Although she (4yr) is still very pampered in their school (teacher prepares color pencil, no homework), it surely need to get them independent and be responsible for their own belongings. Otwise in Std 1, they will not be able to survive the competition.
XY gets a lot of punishment (stand at a corner, kneel on the chair, tap on her palm - lightly, according to her teacher) in class for talking non-stop. I don’t mind this kind of mild punishment. But it can oni stop her at that time, it won’t stop her from repeating it.
i guess mild punishment is ok, but sometimes we need to find out if the punishment is true or not..in case they lie to escape fr school
sure sakit hati but then cannot pamper soo much..usually I will ask the teacher and ask Jeriel on his side of story…then will discuss with jeriel..So far in this kindy, he is ok..

i don’t believe in PUBLIC physical or contact punishment. i think it will affect the kids’ self-esteem and confident. that’s why i’m having a hard time deciding (still) whether i should send my kids to chinese schools.
