Sarawak - Day 1
Jul 2nd, 2008 by Jesslyn
We took morning flight (10am) to Sarawak, have to depart from here by 7am. Have to get the girls sleep early; else they might not able to wake up on time. However they are too excited and could not fall asleep pulak. LOL…I chase them enter bedroom by 10pm but until 1am++ only both of them dozz off. Gosh…also due to no power supply at night and both of them feel very excited when their Ma Ma light up the candles in living room as well as second hall.
Reach airport around 8.30am, still early for domestic check in. something happen while check it though. They ask for my kids MyKid or birth cert. Oh my god, I did not bring!!! Frankly I never think of this coz I was dreaming flying domestic no need all these doc! *slap head*. So the staff asked us to make a police report, said that we lost they MyKid. Hahaha…ask us lying ler….but the police very smart, they knew we forgot to bring.
Note to myself : Remember to bring MyKid or birth cert when you fly to Sabah or Sarawak.
Photos taken in airport, see how excited the girls!

12.00 noon. While enter Sarawak Immigresen in airport, the staff did not request the kids doc as they said we can actually fill in a small slip and return to them after check out from Sarawak after 3 days. Phew…..I am so scare cannot enter S’wak!A tour guide (Cassius – Belanau) with van waiting for us. Lucky we did not follow a big group coz with lesser people, we can have more free time; also can request back to hotel follow our timing. After hang around in city, we go for lunch around 3pm. Cassius bring us to the place where we can find Sarawak laksa and Kolo Mee. Too bad, the restaurant we went, their laksa is out of order. Hubby doesn’t want to find another place coz he wants to go back to hotel earlier for the girls to take short nap. So we settled with Kolo Mee with different ingredients. Kolo mee is nice but a bit dry for my taste. It is quite similar to our Wantan mee, except wantan mee here has more gravy.

They fail to see real cats in city but can see lot of cat’s statutes!

Reach hotel around 3.30pm. Let the girls take short nap, to recharge battery and go to swimming pool around 6pm. They are well behaved in day 1.Fun in kids pool.

Night time after dinner, we walk to water front for a night walk.
To us, overall, Kuching not much changes even after 9 years ( hub and I been there in year 1999), except their Airport look more advance as compare to 9 years ago.
TBC…..

Hahaha…hubby just told me to remember to take birth cert if we go to Sabah for vacation. Waiting for your post about the trip to Sarawak. If it’s nice…..will consider to go there for our next trip!
Put this into your travel check list now!
I’ve only been to KK Sabah once, and it was really nice
Yeah, next shall go KK
Yeap you need myKid/myKad/birthcert if you travel anywhere. It is to identify the children mah. Lyon still look so chubby.
Learn the lesson now!
aiya, i forgot to tell you the birthcert..sounded very troublesome, when my Jo back to KK also needs to show birthcert coz he was born in Selangor.
Quite ma fan too but in another way, it is for good reason too: to identify the kids.
I very curious last time when I went to sabah, coz got custom mah, sure must have support doc. Then I double confirmed with travel agency.
You are more alert!
the kolo mee a bit like our melaka one heh? there is also one stall here near my place. we call it sarawak mee.
To me, it is like our wantan mee.
Luckily u’re allowed into S’wak altho don’t hv the proper documentation. Kids’ pool = fun, no matter when, no matter where.
yalo, me really kancheong at that time!
wah first time i see ur hubby keke…
eh need mykid one meh…the last i brought the kids to KK they didn’t ask for it…but it was AirAsia, not MAS though
I think this is the 3rd time i posted his pic lor! LOL
Wah.. shiok nia.. ZERO fare.
Need to bring birthcert some more? Aiyo.. how to attract West Malaysian to go there leh.. so mafan.
I usually put YC’s mykid in my wallet, so no problem!
BTW, you book a tour through agency? Why have personal guide? So good!
pardon me, why must take birth cert?
[…] Continued from here. […]
Aiyaooooo… I miss sarawak kolo-mee sooooooooo much!!!
