Parents nowadays

Yesterday we went to Tesco to do our grocesy shopping, together with the girls and MIL. When went to MaryBrown after the shopping is done. This is our first time in MaryBrown too. When we about to leave only realized there is a playground at the back of the restaurant. We let the girls have some fun at the slides.
Not many kids at the playground. After a while, 2 boys enter the room, and I heard the father told them to stay in the room and they go order food. Notice their neck hanging a hp each and it give them disturbance while they play slides. One of them come to me (I sit on floor watching the kdis) and took off his jacket and hp and place on the floor. He even asked me take care his stuff while he play slides. I asked him the hp is real one ah? He replied me: no la, real one! Later I found out he is only 6 yo and his brother is 8yo!
WOW WOW, to me, they are too young to carry a hp lar. The parent needs to spoil the kids like that meh? Give them luxury (even the hp is old model) item to use. Speechless, ya, I really dunno how to say more.
After a while, the parent come and called the kids to go home. The boys still want to play and ignore the instruction. Guess what the mother say? She said: go home lar, later I ask papa buy one BIG slides and place it at home. Then only the boys listen and ready to leave the playground.
Hahaha…I wonder the mother bluffs them or really will buy one for them? Seriously, I’ll never talk like that to my kids. Kids see kids do, kids listen kids follow.

I also speechless larr. Even my nieces, who are around 8-10 years old already have hp lerrrr. But I really don’t agree to let kids have hp soooo early, especially the expensive one.
wow,the kid terang terang asked you to take care his things ar?wah, i also speechless…just feel that what a failure of the home education there…
this is what i call…spoiled brats! and the easy-way-out parenting.
I guess the parents let them have mobiles so that they can let the kids go wild and go everywhere themselves, when wanna cabut that time baru call them. Aigh… how come they’re like that ah, my kids out of my sight for a while also I scared oo…
What the?! *speechless* These kinda parents need some smacking on their heads.
haha, i was thinking the same as sue….
mebbe the parents sked the kiddo go missing, then mar can call the hp and find out where they are lar…
but then ar, skerry ler… later ppl snatch the hp and accidentally hurt the kiddo… sigh…
I don’t know what to say…..6 and 8 years old got hps??? doesn’t it make them very vulnerable??? I mean to the robbers???
Buy a BIG slide and put at home??? wah pengz
Read the last time how some students got ‘mugged’ because of their handphones. ..so don’t think it’s a good idea to give it to little kids. But what amazed me was that they know how to ask you to take care of their things while playing!!!
later the kid kena kidnapped ohhhhhhh parents leave them like that. Shucks, I will never leave my kids alone even if its within a restaurant or what not. Nowadays not safe.
aiyo, 6-8 years old got handphone liao? That’s why now got so many cases kid missing la…..
Wow! Kids are so ‘hou meng’ these days. I got my very first h/p when I was 40 something! *duh* Hahaha.
An 8 year-old sudah ada h/p? Dat’s too much lar. How come he trusted u to take care of his things hor? Maybe the h/p to him is nothing to him. Sudah hilang, parents can buy new one again …. tsk, tsk, tsk.
nowadays kids very spoilt one… they even asked to have the latest gadget (as in latest phone, latest PS ) and they parents usually give in.
And hor…never give empty promise to kids…
parents show off kuah…
hehe we’re not the parents so we don’t know what is the REAL reason…
Hi,
Looks like we all have same mind: never spoil the kids like that! I hope I can do that. Whatever it is, let them carry hp at this age is too early!
Speechless….sometimes these kids carry more expensive and more canggih handphone than me…. LOL
I give Zara a real handphone too.. but spoilt already one..
I won’t lie to kids like that, seriously.
