I am so careless!
Aug 27th, 2007 by Jesslyn
Yeah, I am very very careless yesterday, till now I still felt guilty.
I was busy at kitchen preparing lunch yesterday. Lyon and Wien play at living hall initially; later 2 girls came visit my MIL. One of the girls was under my MIL care when she is a little girl, now she called her as God-mom. Lyon being scared of stranger, she quickly come to kitchen and looks for me. she refuse to go to living hall again and keep sticking to me.
I am busy and no time to entertain or play with her, so I let her play with black bean which is placed on the table. She counted the beans and talk to herself. I thought should be ok to play with the beans, so I continue my cooking.
After a while, I heard she called me for help: mommy, help me please! I just asked her why. She told me she cannot take out bean from her nose!!!! My goodness, what did she do with her nose??? I am real worry, quickly go to her and take a look at her nose. Aiyo, I saw a black bean in her nose!! If you will me, what is your reaction?
I ask her put more energy to exhale (correct me if I use the wrong word) out the bean, she tried but fail. I quickly took out my forceps and hoping can take out, at the same time I called hubby for help too. He told me cannot use forceps, better go to hospital now. I am more worry when I heard he mentioned hospital. Wien stand besides Lyon, she keep asking her to exhale harder, she even demo to her. (Now I think back, I feel she is so cute coz she is care about her sister actually). Lyon did not cry at that time, she tried to exhale harder, this time I saw a tiny bean pop out from her nose! Wow, what a relief to me!
I am angry too, keep scolding her but end up I am the one kena scold by hubby coz I allow her to play with tiny things which is so dangerous to a little kid.
A very good lesson to me.

aiyo, this is so scary. luckily, a hospital visit is not needed.
yeah, thanks God!
this happened to me twice when I was young, first time put a anut in my own nose, 2nd time put a pebble into my brother’s nose, both times had to rush to hospital to take it out. cialak.
Wow, u so notti ar? LOL
Fortunately she didn’t inhale it further in. Note to self: no beans for children to play.
Another good method to remove the bean from the nose is let her smell pepper. It will make her sneeze out. I think Lyon will not put anything up her nose again.
Panic, cant think of other methods. Really a good lesson for me.
*phew* lucky she’s alright. Hopefully she not do this again.
I hope so, but still hv to keep an eye.
oh dear..lucky she was able to exhale it. bravo Wien!!
Bravo? i smack her buttock ler…but she keep giggling to me pulak..*faint*
aiyo….luckily it came out….make me scared
me too…
“Mac Donald’s”?
i am hungry now…LOL
Ooops I meant to write the comment for another blog. That’s what happen when one reads multiple blogs a time!!!!
Now that reminds me too….”no beans for kids without supervising”.
Have to practice it also not just remember it…like me…
Waiyo, really scare the wits out of me lor if Des was to put a bean into her nose. Luckily Lyon was able to blow the bean out. Dat really was a great relief. NO MORE BEANS, BEADS and SMALL TINY THINGS until she’s older or under adults’ supervision.
I knew all these, yet I still allow her do so! MY FAULT!
She is sooo smart not to breath in…able to breath out..
smart? OMG! If I’ve heart attack, sure die lor!
Lyon so smart to call u for help. Lucky thing she managed to blow it out. We must always be vy careful n alert. Cannot expect little children to play safely themselves.
