For Japanese food, I only know about Sushi and Wasabi. Lately I learn to know the existing of Furikake, a dry Japanese condiment meant to be sprinkled on top of rice. I read from Wikepedia that Furikake typically consists of a mixture of :
“dried and ground fish, sesame seeds, chopped seaweed, sugar, salt, and monosodium glutamate. Other flavorful ingredients such as katsuobushi (sometimes indicated on the package as bonito), salmon, egg, vegetables, etc. are often added to the mix.”
Msau is the first one share with me her Furikake experience last week. And so coincidence I received few packs from this leng lui mummy via postage together with lovely Christmas card.

Wien so happy once she saw those cute and sweet packing of Furikake, she keep asking me whether it is sweet that inside the packing. I told her I am not sure and I need to check the auntie first coz at that time I still don’t know those are Furikake (all Japanese wording on the packing). Later she added that since the packing so cute and got cartoon, for sure it is sweet inside.
I will try it out, if my girls love them, then I will start shop for them in my next grocery shopping time.
Thanks to Msau & Leng Lui auntie for sharing all these yummy food with me.
