Extra class for Primary 2
Jan 22nd, 2010 by Jesslyn
I ever wrote about Wien extra class last year where we managed to exempt her from attending it. This year she is in Primary 2 and the attendance stated in the letter is compulsory. From beginning, her papa disagree with this extra class (tuition) thingy. His reason still same as last year.
However Wien request us to give her permission to attend. I think she must be thinking her teacher will scold her, that’s why she want to attend. Well, I just pay for it, let her try out one month, see whether she can tahan or not.
The schedule is crazy. Every Tue - Fri, from 2.10 - 4.20pm. Normal class dismiss is 1.10pm, so every kids will have 1 hour to go back take lunch and bath, then come to school again continue suffer! So in a week, she spent more than 90% of her time in school. Tell me where is the fun for a small kid now? Come back from school still need to do her normal school homework ler. You think she still has energy to do it? Already half dead I tell you. Sometimes can see 4 work books ( the max so far).
This is only the first week attending extra class. She said not tire but I really feel tire for her. Anyway, I just let her tried for this month. By Feb, surely will stop her from attending again. In fact, her papa already asked me stop it by this week.
Not only the kid tire, the chauffeur also tire ler….

i think she enjoys learning. thats why not tired.
but chaffuer so tired hor.
thank God my girl’s school only start extra class in std 4, i think twice a week only. btw, why have to pay? not free meh?
Chinese school want to keep up their reputation, tat’s why need extra classes. Good for wien. Maybe she wants to see her friends more…hehehe
But, what if she feels that she might be left out from the group if she did not attend this extra class? No doubt. it is tiring. But if she do not complain, then she might have her own reason. May be this is her way to protect her social status.
If I were you, I will let her to decide on her own. Children should learn to protect themselves and also responsible for their own decision or live as they choose like us too.
Anyway, this is only a friendly sharing. Hope you don’t mind.
Tiring but if she feels happy attending, maybe you should consider.
as long as shes happy then just let her continue, i have few friends let their child attend 2 schools at the age of 3 !!! one in the morning n one afternoon class…. i dun noe how their children can tahan!! but they told me their kids like it
