Wien do not have any exam during first school term. So I am very relax for the first 3 month of schooling, just do little revision with her at night.
Now, the exam is around the corner and we seem not really start the revision though. Feel a bit kan-cheong now. I have to emphases on her Bahasa and English first, especially Bahasa. She quite weak in this subject. Though her homework and exercise book are done pretty well but when I spot check on her, she not really understand what she is writing. I know it is quite common since spoon feed teaching method is very common nowadays. No choice, I have to work hard on her now.
She likes other subjects but not Bahasa and English, maybe she know she is not good at both subject. No worry, girl, mummy still believe if we work harder, we still can pass the exam with flying colors!

Either Mommy or Daddy must start speaking English at home. Let her build the confident in speaking the language first.
My girl also will l have her first exam starting next week. Received the exam scope for all the subjects last week, but still feel a little lost on how to help her prepare, especially on the BM tulisan. I use her syllabus to do the mock paper for her. One experience mummy told me to book test paper from Std 2 student, so that next year can use it as guideline!

Be sure not to pressure too much also! I do agree you on the spoon fed system here in Malaysia. Last time, I memorized all the things for my exam, and I don’t think I can remember 30% of what I learnt last time!
