I am sure my SIL#3 does not have a good nice sleep over the last weekend.
She is into 4 months pregnancy now. Her recent blood test showed that she is at high risk of having a baby with a down syndrome. This news really shocks us, not only her coz there is no family history for this. The gynae suggests her to do amino test by next week to get a firm answer.
Just pray hard the result turn out fine and have a healthy baby instead.
Pls tell your sil not to be so upset coz the blood test is not accurate. There are many cases of false positive, and false negative too. A few of my friends had false positive results too and the amnio showed that the bb did not hv DS. Anyway, the amnio is not that bad. I did one and it wasn’t that painful. Get an experienced and good gynae to do the amnio.
Hope the results come back negative. If I were her, I cannot sleep too.
Talking about that, my gynea haven’t call me yet about my result. I took the blood test last Monday.
i hope she’s alright. these test sometimes also ada salah one…don’t worry so much and pray for best
Pray hard hard….not easy..if I sure cannot sleep at all….
do check out the new way of checking down syndrom using special scan called nuchal scan which is wide practice in UK and now is in Malaysia..heard more accurate..
how old is she? why with high risk? console her and pray that the result will be a good one.
