Debt Free!

No No No…this is not a sponsored post. Why I said so? cos I saw many bloggers posted on similar topic recently!
Yup, hubby and I been debt free for 4 years, we really enjoy 4 years of debt free, I tell you! Many people jealous we are at this stage, they even commented we can spend as much as we like now. But this is not our trend though, we still spend wisely, money is not easy to earn too!
We were thinking to invest in property but the property value was inconsistent in Malaysia. Even the rental was so low in certain area, not even can cover the monthly installments. Those popular areas’s (e.g. in KL) need high investment too! Any good recommendation?
Ever think of to change car but when think of to pay debt monthly, hubby shake his head again! Yeah, if possible, we really don’t want to enroll ourself into debt again. When there is debt in hand, we have to live in fear! Fear of retrenchment, fear of losing job, fear of unexpected bill pop out (like medical bill,*touch wood*), etc etc….many other unforeseen circumstances. Look like we still have to drive that old car for another one or two year.

Well, you still need to invest your money and good property can give you a good return.
Good… I still have a long long way to go before reaching this “debt free” stage! *Sigh*
Envy lar! We still have to pay “Ah Long”..for another 6 years at least, unless strike big lottery.
wah…that’s nice..we’ve got a long long way to go…
wah congra… invest on property ah… if u dont want fast fast return and willing to wait for 5 years ah.. then invest at Canada lo
wow…..congrats….feels great to be debt free hor?
my house ah, still have 25 years more to pay off…the day i go debt free, I think i can retire liao lor…woahahahah
Envy ler…WOw my target is very near edi. Hopefully by this August, everything is clear.
I know what u mean by not to “kong” car again. The feeling is so great.
it is good to have financial freedom. besides the apt, we dont go into debt anymore. but ah, i feel insurance like a debt too. every month have to pay, if dont pay, burn.
Another way to go into the property sector is thru the mutual funds market. It does not require a huge start up capital. Hubb and I do this too, and the funds are invested not only in Msia but in foreign countries as well. We have a few fund accounts so that the risk is diversified. It is also more liquid compared to investing in actual property.
Get a good financial advisor. Ours have been excellent as he makes detailed analysis before making any recommendations and he kept a close watch on our accounts. I felt safer putting my $$ with him than to invest in one particular property.
I was debt free YESTERDAY!
[…] I still reluctant to change coz I do not want to engage with any loans now. I am very enjoy current debt free status. I will drag it till next […]
