福娃 = China Olympic mascots
During the Beijing Olympic Open Ceremony, my girls keep asking where the Fuwa Mascots is. They want to see the mascots more instead of the great and grand open ceremony. Kids mah, sure they want to see cute thing. Too bad, till end they still did not see any Fuwa coming out.
Glad that they sit still with us throughout the 3 hours show, so that I can watch the ceremony peacefully too. Some parts are difficult for them to understand, so we slowly tell them what is this and that. All are related to our Chinese tradition and history, so we got no problem explaining to them too. They cannot understand all too but never mind. They are impressing with the great show too. LOL
Don’t you think the ceremony is so spectacular? We all truly enjoy the presentation. It is so amazing!
My house does not have any Astro channel, lucky we able to watch live from Channel 5, a Singapore channel start from 8pm onwards. Other wise we have to watch delay transmission from RTM1 lor…..
Ya lor hor, how come they didn’t bring out the 福娃 hor? I’m sure the children would have love watching them danced around the field. When we watched the opening ceremony, what was heard were “OOOOOOs!!!! WAHs!!!! WUAH LAU EHs! One word for the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games – FANTASTIC!!!!!
My children were also asking for them. When I switch on the TV, it was towards the end….had to watched UTube instead.
