21/07/08, Monday night, Lyon promised her papa to go to school the next day. As usual, I just listen and pretend nothing coz there are so many incidents where she refuse to go the next day once we wake her up.

Surprisingly she woke up pretty early on 22/07/08, telling me that she wants to go to school as promised. She ask me help her put on uniform too (her sister oversize uniform). But, if she wear it, then Wien no more uniform. I only sewn 2 sets for her. Lyon refused to wear normal clothing coz she said go to school must wear uniform. No choice, I took out Wien’s uniform that she wear yesterday from washing machine and iron nicely for her. Wien is ok, she wear it without much complaint as she also wants her sister go to school together with her. It is quite rush for me coz I never know that she suddenly want to go to school. I am not well prepared, wake up late too.

Next problem is: she wants me accompany her in class. Oh no, how can I make it? Then she said ask Ah Gong sit with her in class. Lucky my FIL willing to do so. So she went to school every day since 22/07 till today. But she not allow Ah Gong leave her a second. If she saw Ah Gong go out from class, she also follow. Poor Ah Gong, have to sit there from 8am till 11am.

She is very excited once back from school. She will tell us her story in class, her new friend’s name, food she eat etc etc….

By the way, this is only trial session for her as I ever told the principal I wish to train her now since next year she will official enter kindy year 1. No problem for her books cos I had bought her full set of book from them. Before this I taught her to do homework at home. Whenever she saw her sister doing homework, she wants to join too, so might as well bought her full set and let her do slowly at home. Now she went to kindy, she can take her the same book too.

I am so glad she willing to go to school though she needs someone accompany her. She still needs more time perhaps. No hurry, she only 3 years old and 8 months by now. The smallest size in class I suppose.

Let’s hope one day she’ll be independent and no companions required.

秋日 - is the name given to the bird.

Finally the girls allow their MaMa to let go the bird, after 2 weeks playing with him. This time he did not come back as previously.

I’ve created a travel check list for myself. It is very useful for me whenever there is any family vacation. As you all know, when we were have to bring kids for travel, we need to bring lot of kid stuff/belonging than adult. So I need the check list to help me pack my luggage; else I will forget to bring this and that sometimes. With the check list in hand, I will not miss out any items so far! My check list quite complete to me coz I will add on the items from time to time.

Just printed one today, going to pack my luggage soon coz we are going somewhere else this weekend! Yahoooo……

She is super vain pot as compare to eldest girl. She wants to wear dresses most of the time and if possible she wants to wear the flower girl dress EVERYDAY coz she said the dress make her look like princess. Ya, she is in princess stage now.

…psst psst…lucky I can sew pretty dresses for her, else I am going to broke if I’ll to buy her princess dresses!

“Hamster Jie Jie! Hamster Jie Jie!”

That’s how Nyn - Jo-N’s youngest girl, calls Wien when she spotted her passed by her grandparent house.

As mentioned by Jo-N, her parent’s house just few streets from my house. So for her and her kids to come over is not a big problem, just give me a call will do. During her first visit, I know her kids for sure will beg to come again due to so many “best friends” around my house. LOL

When her kids re-visited my house again last Saturday, they straight look for the hamsters. They have so much fun with all those pets in this one hour visit. Jo-N, do bring them over whenever you back to home town, my girls will be happy to entertain them.

Mean time, I am glad that the dresses (tanglung dress and umbrella dress) that I made for Nyn are well fitted. After she tried the umbrella dress , she refuse to take it down. After coax her with food, then only she willing to change back to her normal shirt.

It’s our last day in Sarawak. After breakfast, we went to water front to have a short walk before depart to airport. The girls ask for another round of pool dip but was objected by hubby coz I already done my packing. It will be difficult for me to pack the wet clothing after that.

Weather in Sarawak is very hot, cannot feel the wind too. 9am++ I already start sweating, not to mention the girl. They even sweating till their shirt is WET.

While we about to enter Parkson mall, a car drive slowly pass by us. It is not ordinary car, it’s a Rolls-Royces!! Not that I never see such car before but the car belong to Sarawak Ketua Menteri. So ngam we can bump into him ya! Hubby took some picture of this expensive car.

The girls received souvenirs from MAS on return flight. It is a MAS aeroplan model.

At night, we explore the famous Satok Market at Jalan Satok. We can walk to this place actually but with kids tagging along, it will be quite difficult for them to walk about 15 minutes. So we take a cab for this short distance and the cost is RM8.00 (quite expensive for such short distance ler).

I had heard so much about this market, so this time I must try to experience the crowd. It start from Saturday evening till the next day, Sunday evening. Originally most of the seller are Sarawak’s orang asli but now you can see the mixture of their local people there. It is actually just like our night market aka pasar malam.

The place really crowded and hot too! So we must hold tight the girls while we are walking. Can see lots of things here, some items I never see it before and don’t even know the name, like below pictures:

Lyon starts complaining legs pain after short walking, she wants me carry her. I think it is the heat that she cannot stand and make her feel uncomfortable. Hubby not allow me to carry her and force her to walk by her own. She lau kai a bit and keep stick to me after that. Brought them to nearby KFC rest a while and enjoy some aircond first. But KFC aircond seem not function at all, we still sweat like hell while rest there.

After 1/2 hour, we back to the market again. Now Lyon no more complaints. Phew!

One thing I noticed in this market is the seller nicely arrange their vegetables. You just need to select, pack and pay. Over here, the vegetables are place in whole bunch, you can choose, choose, choose the best one and pack in plastic bag.

I did not buy anything, except a playing stuff for the girls to keep them occupy.

After visiting Orang Hutan, we proceed to Longhouse.

It took us about 30min drive to reach this place from Semenggoh Orang Hutan.

They use bamboo to build their houses as well as using bamboo for cooking and boiling water. The long house look pretty modern now, unlike old time. Some houses are nicely renovated with modern look too. Some houses even have Astro and China Channels programs (Don’t know how to call it. Mind you, the china channels program is illegal in East Malaysia but LEGAL in WM.

Finally my girls can see lot of cats here. They are so happy and keep chasing and touching them.

In this long house, we can see 2 houses operated as a grocery shops. This is one of them.

The headhouse or Ruman Panggah - where they keep their enemy’s head as victory items during old time. The house owner invite us to visit the headhouse but I dare not climb up and enter it. Timid me. After some walking, our tour guide said Edward wants (he run a home stay concept business there) to treat us his herbal drink and fresh pineapple as desserts. How nice of him ya! The herbal drink is nice coz I can smell some fragrance smell like pandan leaf.
Saw some big coconut lying on the floor, ask him open 2 for the girls. Wow, so nice to drink coconut water in this hot weather. So cooling.

Ok, before I continue my Sarawak trip, let me slot in this post first.

Our mini zoo house has new additions now.

1. Fishes

At first only can see some small fishes swimming in aquarium but after 1-2days, the small fishes got new partners. FIL bought some fishes from fish shop to make the girls more excited!! :lol:FIL brought the fishes back but he also cause the fishes died.Reason: He keep feeding them until they too full!! Can you beat him? He also feed them with cereal! *Fainted*

Nowadays the girls and my MIL keep remind him don’t do the feeding job, else all fishes die faster.

2. Bird (八哥)

As I know only Malay like to keep bird at home. My house is the exceptional one. This bird fight with another bird and get injured and bleeding all over his body. MIL saw him at our garden, and the girls saw him too. They want to become life saver and ask MIL to keep him and apply some cream onto his body. Within the recovery period, the bird’s gangs keep shouting at him, we are guessing they are asking him for another fight. LOLThe girls feed him everyday and talk to him too. The bird can talk too, not human talk but bird talk. You sing, he sing, you shout, he shout. Fun ler!

After few days his wound recover and become best friends with the girls too. Have you ever talk and play with bird? I had never experience it until lately. We even can let him walk and fly about in our house and not worry he will fly away. Surprise?

Wien let him fly out one day but he did not fly far, just stand on top of roof and get down again. Perhaps he knew we will not hurt him. For time being, his house will be in the cage and will invite him to play when they girls are free, no worry he will fly away.

We knew bird can bring bird flu, so we’ll bath him with Dettol pretty soon.

Our second day’s activities in Kuching quite full. But we still managed to finish 2 tours before 4pm and back to hotel for the kids to have a short nap.

We stayed in Merdeka Palace with a triple deluxe room coz I wish to have a good night sleep and rest while we are in the hotel. I like the hotel though it is not a new hotel as compare to Holiday Inn or Hilton Hotel. The breakfast so so only but is ok for us since we did not eat much in morning too.

8.15am, tour guide fetched us to first destination: Semengoh Wildlife Centre to visit orang hutan. From hotel to Semengoh is approximately 30min. Reached there before 9am, just in time to catch up the first feeding session at 10am.

The girls very excited at first but after the tour guide said we cannot talk loud and shout loud while in the jungle coz afraid Orang Hutan will attack us, then they start feeling nervous and feel scare, especially Lyon. Hubby carry her and convince her, after a while, she said she want to get down and walk. Before walk to the jungle’s feeding area, I applied some mosquito repellent to the girls (myself too). A must item for me when we go to jungle.

When you are in this area, you are not allow talking and shouting loud, cannot bring in any plastic bag, afraid Orang Hutan thought you bring some food for them, and they will come near to you to snatch the bag. If you are unlucky, they will attack you too. This case ever happened some times ago according to the tour guide. Scary ya, no wonder the tour guide keep reminding other tourists.

We stand quite a distance from Orang Hutan, so these are the closest pictures that we can snapped, unless we’ve a very good camera lar.

Total 23 orang hutan in this area but we only see 6 of them. spend about an hour in this place, then we proceed to second destination: Anah Rais Bidayuh Longhouse
